What is the secret to getting a glass-like shine on a car without swirls. I've tried everything from buffers to orbital polishers to had polishing and still, on my wife's black car, when the sun hits it, you can see small swirl marks.  I see cars at the shows where the paint looks almost wet it's so shiny and no matter what angle there are no polishing marks in the paint.

Is it in the tool, the technique or the wax/polish???
