East Coast Indoor Nationals
“Rain early in the day, followed by sleet turning to snow late in the afternoon.” That was the weather forcast as of Friday night, prior to my two sons and me heading for the Baltimore area to see the East Coast Indoor Nationls Car Show. We considered canceling but since it wasn’t supposed to get really nasty before early afternoon, we figured we would miss most of it. My youngest would drive up from N.VA. to my house and we would then head up to Mt Airy to pick up my oldest and head out Interstate 70 for the show in Timonium Maryland.

Well, needless to say, things didn’t work out as expected. As usual in Md, the weather doesn’t always follow the forecasters instructions. It kinda does its own thing. By 8:00am, there was a wet snow falling and the streets were looking messy. My son arrived at nine and we headed out.
The drive to Timonium was uneventful up to the point where I started to shoot some images to document the trip. That was when I ralized that I had left my card pack on my desk. My ‘card pack’ is a small case that houses my flash cards (film for a digital camera) and spare batterys) So my camera was dead in the water. Fortunately my son brought his so I could use that but it meant using a camera that I was totally unfimiliar with. In addition, the show would be inside and his camera didn’t handle the low light conditions as well as mine. Ahh, you just gotta love old age, absent mindedness and short memory.
We arrived around 10:00am and the rest of the day went well. There were some totally awesome cars there but, to my dismay, only about a dozen bikes. Below is a collection of images taken at the show.
